The Middle East is a region where automobile is king and fuel is inexpensive, typically leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly ways of moving around.

But this year, as protests across the Middle East have risen the rate of oil, the issue of discovering alternative of fuel has actually entered into sharp focus.

In a region that has among the highest carbon footprints in the world, one company is taking advantage of the growing pressure to discover options to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first plan to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's showing lucrative too, currently their client-list includes McDonald's.
